Scotland lock Scott Cummings receives one-game ban for croc roll
DUBLIN (AP) — Scotland lock Scott Cummings was suspended for one game on Tuesday for his illegal crocodile roll on South Africa counterpart Franco Mostert in Edinburgh at the weekend.
Cummings will miss only Portugal’s visit to Murrayfield on Saturday.
A disciplinary panel considered Cummings’ foul play in last Sunday’s autumn test that earned him a yellow card that was upgraded to red by the bunker.
The panel decided the move was reckless, started the sanction at two weeks and reduced it by a week because of Cummings’ disciplinary record, good conduct and remorse.
Scotland lost to the Springboks 32-15.
